It's a big country, and sometimes things fall between the cracks, but thanks to Mark M., The High School Football Huddle would like to give info on the New York Catholic High School Football League that played its championship games on the weekend of November 15th and 16th.
St. Anthony's, which began the season ranked in the USA Today Super 25, won it's seventh straight CHSFL AA title beating
Mount St. Michael 26-20. The win was sweet revenge for the Friars (10-1), who lost to Mount St. Michael 22-12 on September 22nd. The win snapped St. Anthony's 64-game regular season CHSFL win streak.

St. Anthony's streak of seven straight Catholic High School Football League championships came to an end Friday with the Friars 48-35 loss to Iona Prep in the AAA title game. It was the second time this season that the Gaels beat St. Anthony's. Back on October 25, Iona Prep won 41-21. Click here for title game story.
